Barry Hoyland, the owner of Barry’s Auto Service has over twenty
years experience in building and tuning racing engines for dragsters, funny
cars, drag boats, sprint cars, and for many sportsman class drag race cars.
We pride ourselves in building these engines to be able to withstand the
demanding needs of producing the power necessary of reaching quarter mile
speeds of 260 mph. Extensive research of the components that make up these
engines allows us to make the best possible end product. We have experience
with carbureted and fuel-injected engines, supercharged and naturally aspirated
engines, all using gasoline or alcohol racing fuels.
We have been very successful in translating the racing technologies we
have learned to the production cars of today. Every time we build or rebuild
an engine, we take the care and time to make it the best, by using the
best parts, machining, and assembly practices available. This not only
